At 15:30 pm of May 22th, 2016, the Super Basketball League for graduates of Xiamen University was held in Mingpei Gym. The Department of Public Affairs and School of Aerospace Engineering has participated for a long time to try to win this game.

At the goalkeeper’s whistle, the games started. A player from the school of Aerospace Engineering took the first ball and scored one goal quickly. Later, they scored two points because of they made a foul behind the basket, and advancing temporarily to 4:0 on aggregate. The players of the Department of Public Affairs went ahead steadily and surely. Player 30 Huang Zhiwen performed well and turned the scales. In the next 15 minutes, the school of Public Affairs scored frequently and left the School of Aerospace Engineering behind. 

Under the circumstance, the players from the School of the Aerospace Engineering called a time out and arranged the strategy. But it didn’t work. The core was 28:11 at half time in favor of the School of Public Affairs.. 

At the break, there was a session for female players. Girls from the Department of Public Affairs, Chen Minxuan from the School of Public Affairs,shot ten times and scored seven points. Female player of the School of Aerospace Engineering casted into 3balls. At the end of the second half, the score was 35:14 for the School of Public Affairs.

Players of the Department of Public Affairs reached an impasse after they changed their field; whereas players of the School of the Aerospace Engineering fought back and scored many times at this time, At that time when there was just one minutes left to the end, players from the School of Aerospace Engineering went ahead to score one point than our department. Then, the players from Public Affairs scored from the penalty spot and made the score was tied of 43:43.  When there were only 30 seconds left, the players performed well like they set fire on the basketball count. At the end, the Department of Public Affairs won this game and the score was 45-43.

So the Department of Public Affairs won third place in the Super Basketball League Game for graduate students. They made a progress aas last year they only won the fourth place. We hope they can keep moving and achieve more success in the future!
