With an international development strategy, SPA strives to expand international academic exchanges by communicating and collaborating with foreign universities and research institutions on a regular basis with an eye to the effectiveness, level and contents. The School cooperates with nearly 40 universities in the United States, UK, Germany, France, Canada, Russia, Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, Sweden, Belgium, the Netherlands, South Korea and Japan as well as over 10 universities in Taiwan and Hongkong. Substantial progress has been made in collaboration with Moscow University in Russia, School of Administration in Germany, University of Southampton in UK, Newcastle University in UK, Brigham Young University in USA, the University of Delaware in USA, the State University of New Jersey in USA, the University of Western Ontario in Canada, and Nanyang Technological University, Singapore.
In the past decade, over 20 teachers have gone abroad funded by China Scholarship Council, over 70 teachers have carried out international short visits, and over 200 students have studied abroad through exchange programs. In 2013, the School enrolled 4 doctoral students under China Study Plan. The School has entertained over 500 foreign experts and scholars who offered more than 100 lectures. More delightedly, the School continues to hold “Public Affairs Forum” and invites 10 to 15 distinguished foreign experts and scholars to give lectures each academic year.
